The Lancaster Bar Association operates a Lawyer Referral Service that can help you determine the area of law for which you need assistance and connect you with an attorney’s office to schedule an appointment for an initial half-hour consultation. A non-refundable $50 fee payable to the LBA at the time of the referral may be made by cash, money order or credit card. There is no further fee for the initial consultation, but you will be advised of additional fees if further work is to be done by the attorney.

All referrals are handled by phone. Please call the Lawyer Referral Service at 717-393-0737 between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., Mon. through Fri. Upon receipt of payment, you will be given information regarding the attorney you are scheduled to see, the location of the office, and a mutually agreed upon date and time for your appointment.
