The Lancaster Bar Association helps those members of our community unable to afford legal assistance in civil matters by operating the Volunteer Attorney Program, which supplements MidPenn Legal Services's free legal aid program. Representation is offered in areas such as custody/visitation, support, bankruptcy, landlord/tenant, trespass/assumpsit actions, driver’s license suspensions, adoptions, workers’ compensation, and school related problems.

Approximately 300 member attorneys participate providing program clients nearly 3000 hours of free legal representation.
