Speaker: Terry Leslie

Description: Terry will review the process for determining the qualifications of vocational experts, how earning capacity is determined, the interplay between physical limitations or Social Security Disability determinations, and earning capacity. Mr. Leslie will also be discussing the sources of data and demonstrating the pitfalls of relying on information posted to popular websites.

About the Speaker: Mr. Leslie earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine from Central Michigan University, Master’s Degree in Counseling from Millersville University and a post-graduate certificate in Forensic Vocational Rehabilitation from Minnesota State University. He is certified as a vocational expert by the American Board of Vocational Experts and is President of that organization. He is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. His practice includes working as a vocational expert in social security, workers’ compensation, and civil litigation cases. He has been under contract with the Social Security Administration as a Vocational Expert since 1999 and has testified in over 5,000 disability hearings. His vocational expert opinions have been accepted in twenty-two counties in Pennsylvania as well as Florida, Maryland, Delaware, California, New Jersey, Missouri, and other states, at both the state and federal levels
