Speaker: Sherrie LeuVay, President and Director of Mediation at The Mediation Group of Lancaster County

Description: What is mediation? Why do we mediate? What is the process of mediation? In this CLE we will discuss these questions as well as the role of a professional mediator, the importance of communication, and how a mediator and an attorney can work together to resolve a dispute.

There is no charge for LBA members to attend this CLE.

Sherrie LeuVay is a native of Lancaster County and earned a B.S. in English from Pennsylvania-based Wilson College.  She got her roots working in Ross Perot’s Communications Strategic Business Unit at EDS, which cultivated the groundwork for her entrance into advocacy in the fields of communication, ombudsmanship and mediation, where she has mediated conflicts in the areas of family, elder care, commercial business and pets.  Sherrie firmly believes in the power of both the spoken and written word.  She is a member of the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators and is actively involved in the community, linking arms with Advoz Mediation and Restorative Practices;  CASA of Lancaster County;  Lancaster County Office of Aging; Hospice & Community Care; Phoenix Assistance Dogs of Central Pennsylvania and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce.  Sherrie is commonly seen with Cato, her mini golden doodle she is raising, and training, to be a medical alert service dog for an individual in need.
