Speaker: Eric Schelin Rothermel, Esq.

This CLE will explore legal actions by creditors (and debt collectors acting on behalf of creditors) against consumers in personal debt transactions. We will explore the entirety of the civil litigation process starting with the legal requirements of the pleadings in such cases, potential preliminary objections thereto, and through an arbitration/trial. The CLE will also touch upon potential counterclaims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Pennsylvania Fair Credit Extension Uniformity Act.
